#1. Review of knife gate valve

Plastic knife gate valves

 

Common gate valves are only used for the lowest pressure applications for aquaculture such as simple irrigation or plumbing and aquarium pipes and other similar applications. These gate valves can only hold a maximum of 30 PSI and at least 10 PSI for larger units because the resin is not as durable as steel. The good thing about this type of valve is that they are much cheaper than steel so even if one fails or is broken, it is easy to replace.

Brass knife gate valves

A knife gate valve made of brass similar to the type is made of stainless steel casting. #2. Solenoid Valve

Direct Acting Valve

Pilot-Operated Valve

This valve consists of a valve seat and main valve with a vent and main valve diaphragm with the cap. The upper part of the valve includes the driver seat with the corresponding opening. The pilot tower is opened and closed by the plunger. The airflow pressure is used to open and close the valve cover and through the opening. Two Way Valve

This valve has an entrance and an exit to facilitate the flow of liquid and turn it off. The operation of the two-way valve solenoid is called ‘normal opening’ and ‘normally closing’. The inlet pipe must have a greater pressure than the outlet to force the liquid through the two-way valve. Equal pressure of two pipes will not facilitate the flow of liquid.

Three Way Valve
