Actuator and accessory for valves

Small electrical drives provide Valco’s reliability in a unit that is less than half the size of our standard model. The actuator consists of a control module, a manual gearbox, a manual remote control, a 110/230 VAC power cable and a 24VDC power supply. Two positions

The SVI (serial valve interface) is specifically designed to interface standard electrical drives with RS-232 compatible systems. Allowing control of up to six actuators via a modem, programmable BASIC, or Valco PC software.

Standard air drives are rated up to 80 psig at temperatures up to 70 ° C. Generally, valves are heated requiring a vertical assembly, placing the air inlet from hot areas and support valves and actuators. High temperature models allow the valve and actuator to be mounted in one furnace (max 175 ° C) but not below 50 ° C.

The rotation of the actuator (two positions) or the position number (multi-edge) must be matched to the position of the valve. Universal drives allow instrument makers to use a single control software and motor to operate virtually any Valco or Cheminert valve. This simplifies the electronic aspects of tool design and streamlines the development process.

The standard interface allows for simple positioning commands.  Step and Home for selectors, A and B for two positions – via direct input signals from closed, relay contacts. Or TTL compatible interface. Extensive command sets are available with optional RS232 / 485, USB or BCD interfaces.

The controllers listed below include a universal 24 volt DC power supply and a manual controller. An OEM version that does not include these items is also available. Hardware mounting must be set separately. Please contact our sales staff or technical staff to determine the required hardware.

User manual

Simplicity and low cost are the main advantages of manual activation. Some models may be orderd with position feedback, an option that sends a signal to start a data system when the valve is switched.
